National Environment Awareness Campaign

Like every year, this year also a major emphasis has been given on awareness building about biodiversity conservation. In this connection, a public meeting with a gathering of 150+ people was organized due to the destruction of forests and natural resources. Considering the situation, skill training and demonstration of organic farming including the making of compost, vermicompost and its application for soil fertility, use of bio-pests have been provided to 350+ women of self-help groups.

Health Program

KSS&L has been continuing its Health services for rural people. The service is running under the scheme of Swastha Sathi supported by HFWS/NRHM, Govt. of West Bengal at Mejia BPHC, Bankura. Approx 3000 rural people get facilities and advantages for this scheme.

Tube Well and Tank Maintenance

The village health committees, women self-help groups involved in the maintenance of tube wells and tanks of concerned villages. till now 15 tubewells and 2 tanks have been renovated and repaired. Last year, the society renovated derelict tanks at Village Keliapathar, Chhagalkanali in Mouza-Baurisole, and Geriakula Mouza financially supported by the organization’s fund. So that tribal people can get water for domestic use, sanitation, and also irrigation purposes in summer.

Capacity Building of SHG Leaders

During the year, 100 women leaders of SHG have undergone a 5-days training on capacity building, thrift savings, and micro-credit management. Potential group leaders are enrolled in the training program. The training has been conducted in a participatory method and the participants were vocal in the training camp.

Sanitation Program

KSS&L NGO is constructing Household sanitation and awareness camps for the rural poor people under the scheme of Swachh Bharat Mission & Nirmal Mission Bangla in the Block of Indpur.

Home School for Destitute Children

A home school for destitute children has been started in 2019, 50 children are getting nutrition, education, and health facilities from the organization, and the organization requests financial support partly by Sitaram Jindal Foundation’s fund, New Delhi.
